Communication is at the heart of our relationships
The quality of our lives is largely influenced by the quality of our relationships. Based on our lifestyles and personal temperament our relationships may look different from each others', but we all share a common desire to be loved and connected.
While there are various factors that determine how well we can connect with others at any given moment, we do have agency - and responsibility - over the matter. We can all work on becoming more authentic communicators.
We can learn to communicate better
Genuine communication is only possible when we get ego out of the way. Unless we are willing or able to be truly open and receptive to others, no real communication is possible. If we want to have positive relationships, and a positive influence on other people, we first have to listen to them and be willing to be influenced. This can be a surprisingly difficult task.
Come and join Vajragupta on a stimulating exploration of how communication really works, and find out what we can do in situations where communication seems to fail! This is a two-week seminar, you can come to either week, though best of all is to come to both weeks!
Dana Economy
All our classes offering Buddhist teaching are by donation, because we believe that the Buddha's teachings should be freely given. We recommend a donation of £30 / £20 (concession rate) for this series, but we welcome you however much you can afford to give.
