Join us on July 7th for an evening delving into the material world! How do we navigate the ever growing world of things and are there even things, out there, to begin with?
Matt and Kit will be discussing their experience letting go of material possessions, and of letting go of a belief system that puts materiality at the centre all together!
Most of us in the West tend to view our experience - and indeed our own consciousness - as emerging from the material world. So how does it feel to imagine the reverse? From a Buddhist perspective, it is the material world that emerges from consciousness!
But why does this mean we shouldn't accrue things!? Or can we picture a more healthy relationship to things? All welcome, no matter how much stuff you've got!
