With Mokshadarshini and Viryadeva
Wednesdays, 17th January to 6th March, 7:15 – 9:30pm
Suggested donation £100 / £70 (Conc).
This intensive introduction to Buddhist meditation will take you to the white-hot core of human suffering – and out the other side.
You will be given a thorough grounding in a series of meditations for developing emotional resilience, inspired by the Tibetan lojong or “mind-training” tradition. This tradition, born in the harsh landscape of ancient Tibet, takes the grit and poison of life and shows us how to transmute it into spiritual power.
The course will take you through a journey which starts with our own difficulty and turmoil, and ends with an overflowing desire to serve all living beings.
This is suitable for people totally new to meditation, and for those who want to learn how to face suffering – your own or others’ – with greater steadiness and resilience.
Please note, you’ll be asked to practice daily for 40 minutes+ during the eight weeks of this this course. Please consider whether you can make this commitment before signing up.
